4 Inconceivable and Spine-chilling Videos of Our Cosmos

“The Universe is under no obligation to make sense to you.”
― Neil deGrasse Tyson

Most of the old astronomy books we used to read as children, are obsolete today - and yet - among the millions of terabytes of entertainment in our world - despite their remarkableness, the big news of our cosmos remain buried. So, as an astronomy enthusiast, I feel the duty to present you some of the most unbelievable discoveries of our times. Enjoy.

My stomach crumbles into glitter when I reflect over the fact that this video is recorded in another planet - just for this, the recording is nothing less than magnificent. Do you know why there are clouds on Mars? Simple; because water, in frozen microscopic amounts, has just been discovered.

The Sun seen from an asteroid

Ryugu is a 400 meter long asteroid which travels around our solar system. For its composition and smooth surface, NASA decided it was the ideal spot for one of their most ambitious projects; landing a spacecraft - after some struggle and plenty calculation, they achieved their goal. The video here was recorded by the capsule - and light in the horizon, is our major star, the Sun.

Our Solar System’s giant gas planets are fascinating. Their multiple moons tend to have unbelievable characteristics; Europa, one of Jupiter’s moon for example, it’s believe to have liquid water underneath its thick frozen layer of it. Io, another of Jupiter’s 79 moons, has plenty active volcanos - and Titan, the largest moon of Saturn, has its very own atmosphere. In the year 2005 a spacecrraft landend over this satellite (almost on top of one of Titan’s several methan lakes).

The video above was created by NASA using all of the photographs taken by the capsule during its landing.

This video might seem simple, but obtaining it was extraordinarily difficult, it required not only the brightest minds of our planet but also the greatest and most modern machines ever created. I’m not overreacting when I say that this, will be by far the most, or at least very high up on the list of the most astonishing things you’ve ever seen.

This is cosmic cataclysm; a supermassive black hole - bigger even than our very Solar System, and those little light dots which are being fluttered like tiny glass marbles, they are stars, thousands of times bigger than our Sun. Stars with dozens of planets of their own, planets which - we can only hope - carried no life within them. In those stars and planets the laws of physic are shattered, space-time scrambled and reality’s tissue, stretched into something way beyond the limits of our imagination.

“One of the basic rules of the universe is that nothing is perfect. Perfection simply doesn't exist.....Without imperfection, neither you nor I would exist”

― Stephen Hawking
